What We Do
About the foundation
Who we are
One river.
Many stories.
One future.
Twan’s Eagle Watch Foundation brings the river, wildlife, history, media, community memory, and young people into one living story.
We preserve the work that came before us, document what is happening now, and create pathways for the next generation to observe, learn, produce, and lead. The Anacostia River is the connecting center: its restoration, wildlife, people, and stories show what becomes possible when a community pays attention and takes responsibility.

Who carries it forward.
The foundation’s work is not separated into unrelated subjects. Firsthand experience and archival history help explain how the work took shape. The river and wildlife reveal the living present. TAM Academy prepares young people to document and lead the next chapter.
